I wanted to take a quick minute to post a quick note about some SCE staff etiquette regarding text messaging during events.  It is short and simple, we do not text message, look at the internet, or focus on anything other then the event at hand while working.
We received a very nice call today from a guest that attended a Jan 2009 wedding reception, and she praised our presentation and performance. Â One of the items that stuck out to her (beyond the fantastic celebration and entertainment) was the fact that over the course of the 5 hour reception, she noticed that we never once were on our phones etc. Â She compared our presentation to another wedding service from a different event she attended his past weekend. Apparently, Â the other entertainment company staff seemed to be constantly texting or playing with their cellular phones. Â
Presentation is everything and our etiquette, mannerisms and attention at events will never be sacrificed over our cell phones. Â It is common business practice for us, and as a client you will have our undivided attention for the entire duration of your event. Â
I felt the need to post a blog about this because this is the third time in the past two weeks that I have heard of similar experiences with guests or from banquet managers about other entertainment companies. Â I think it boils down to professionalism and the polished presentation we pride ourselves on delivering for each and every event. Â
We appreciate the kind feedback and that fact that they recognize and praise our presentation and mannerisms.
